Hello friends! Thank you so much for being patient with me these last few weeks! I’ve been transitioning into motherhood, which is not an easy task, and have been loving every minute of it! Now that I have learned how to function with no sleep, and find spare time in between keeping a newborn alive, I am excited to refocus on you and our goals for creating a happier, more joyful life!
We are now two months into 2020. How is it going for you? Have you had big life transitions or do you feel as though this year is remaining stagnant and not bringing the joy it seemed to promise? Wherever you may be in life let’s reignite the excitement of a new year and our goals! So far, I have let pretty much all of my goals fall to the back burner, and yes, I have a pretty good excuse with a newborn, but the goals I set for myself are too important to neglect, so it’s time to reprioritize!
First, I want to emphasize that reflecting and refocusing on goals is okay! If you are like me and have to completely start over, don’t feel bad. The important thing is that you don’t give up! And to those who have continued to accomplish those goals you set, I want to tell you how proud of you I am, and how awesome you are! Keep killing it, and let this just continue to fuel that fire of accomplishment!
In reflection of what goals I set for myself this year, I’m glad I have a visual to look at through my vision board! I can see what goals I can focus on, and which ones, may not be as important as they previously had seemed. If you didn’t make a visual for your goals, I would encourage you to do that still! It doesn’t have to be a “vision board” but at least write them down, so when you need refocusing you can refer to them.
Remember to keep your mental health as a priority this year, no matter what life brings at you, whether it’s a squishy new baby, losing your job, or a new semester at school, keeping your mental health a priority is so incredibly important! In case you haven’t already set them, refer to my previous post A Joyful 2020, for ideas of mental health goals!
So what goals have you continued to accomplish and achieve this year? Do you have goals you need to focus more on? Let this be both your pat on the back and wake up call! Let’s keep each other accountable and I know that we will continue to make this year the best one yet! After all, sometimes all we need is a little bit of encouragement!

“Most ‘impossible’ goals can be met simply by breaking them down into bite size chunks, writing them down, believing them, and then going full speed ahead as if they were routine.” -Don Lancaster
