The Art of Encouragement Relaunch!

Hello friends! I am so excited to be re-introducing myself to you and to be relaunching The Art of Encouragement! While I have been absent this past year I assure you, I haven’t forgotten you, or my mission in beginning this blog! This past year I have undergone some big life changes, but I have also spent the last few months in preparation for this relaunch, to ensure that even in the busy days, I have content to share with you and encouragement to offer you!

This past year has been my biggest one yet! It has been filled with so many life changes that I have been eager to share with you! First of all, I am no longer Haven Falkner! April 5, 2019 I got married to the love of my life, sweet Daniel Gilker! So, I am now Haven Gilker! If getting married wasn’t enough, a month later we found out that we were expecting! So I began the spring, with a marriage and a pregnancy! We are due January 20th, so by months end we will be having a newborn!

Despite all of the craziness of the past year, and the craziness that will inevitably continue into this new year as we welcome our baby boy, I am excited to be prioritizing The Art of Encouragement, because Lord knows that this year, I will need the encouragement myself! That being said there are a few changes other than the overall look of the blog, that I intend on making! I will be swapping out The Art of Travel for The Art of Parenting! Let me be clear, I will not be offering parenting tips and lessons! As I am a new parent myself, it will be filled with advice I learn from others, artistic attempts, psychological research I may come across, and thoughts and prayers for the little ones! I am excited to have my little one, so I can begin the exciting adventure of parenting myself, and we can all take on The Art of Parenting together!

Other than that segment, I will continue to offer encouragement toward fighting depression and finding joy through recreational therapy and overall health and wellness. For that reason, we will continue with the categories of The Art of Wellness, dedicated to fitness and diet goals, and The Art of Leisure, dedicated to hobbies and activities we can fill our down time with in order to find joy, and of course The Art of Encouragement, that will be filled with posts about psychology, mental health and faith all in the efforts to work toward fighting depression and finding joy!

I have so much planned for this new year and I am excited to pursue it all with you! I hope you are as excited as I am for this next season of life! Whatever phase of life you are entering, whether a new momma like me, or working on big changes in career or life, or even stuck in a rut, not sure what your next move will be,  I am eager to offer you some encouragement and be here for you while this next season unfolds!
